Autorka analizuje historię opieki nad osobami ociemniałymi od przełomu XIX i XX wieku do wdrażania Systemu Braille'a w Polsce.
The English language publication on the impact of Mother Elizabeth Roża Czacka model of blind people education. Founder of the Centre for the Blinds in Laski, belonged to the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters Servants of the Cross, it is considered the pioneer of a new system of care for the blind. The author analyzes the history of care for the Blind since the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to the implementation of the Braille system in Poland.
