Elodie, the daughter of Lord Bayford, never wanted to leave her native Duchy of Inofi; on the contrary, she was convinced that her destiny was to help her people in every way possible. Life in their land is not easy: the climate is unpredictable, harvests are scarce, and people often suffer from hunger. So when her father told his daughter that he would woo her to Henry, a prince from the successful and prosperous island of Aurea, in exchange for full storage this winter and every winter after, she agreed. Besides, Elodie had corresponded with Henry and knew him to be a pleasant and interesting man. Still, something didn't add up. Inofi would receive support and provisions. What would Abreu get in return? Unfortunately, Elodie will find out when she is already a princess in an earthly paradise that could well be a death trap.
