Magic is forbidden. Wizards are called abominations and are blamed for the monster invasion that caused numerous destructions in the past. Jin Zhara has enough on her plate without rumours of monster wizards - she has to cater to her stepmother's cruel whims, look after her blind younger sister and keep her own magical gift under control. But when a chance encounter with a young man named Han brings her into contact with the secretive magical liberation organisation Guardians of the Dawn, Zhara realises that there may be more to the rumours than she had ever imagined. A mysterious disease infects the magicians of Zanhei and turns them into monsters. In order to restore harmony and bring peace to the world, Zhara must discover the power of the elemental warrior, otherwise the balance between order and chaos will be lost forever.
