Eugeniusz Niebelski is professor of history at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He studies the history of Poland in the 19th and 20th centuries, including the life stories of Polish exiles living in the Russian Empire. Recently, he has published "Zesłańcy 1863 roku. Siedem historii (Lublin: Polish Academy of Sciences Branch in Lublin-Polihymnia, 2019) and edited the book "Polacy w Irkucku w XIXi XX wieku"
(Lublin: Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2020).
